My friend lost her husband very suddenly, and unfortunately had to live through the experience you are trying to prevent us all from having with this thoughtful post. She’s been through a very tough experience and still more than a year on is uncovering fresh hells and bumps in the road. Tackling some of the things you mentioned here is a goal for 2026.
My husband would have zero idea how to access the school or health portals. Reading this is a kick in the pants that I need right now. I also need to step down and recognize I don't need to control the orbits of this house. Share the reigns, Mama. (*sigh*)
